Free Mixed Media Workshop with Jane Davenport
Jane Davenport, a mixed media artist I have admired for a while, is having a free mixed media workshop to showcase her collaboration with American Crafts, sold at Michaels. How cool is that? I saw the collection at the Michael’s store, thanks to a Facebook group and proceeded to go with my ever suffering husband (he’s posing with Meowth) and got some supplies.
I devoted the month of February to creating every day. Sometimes it is coloring, or writing or stamping. Other times it is creating scrapbooking pages and working with my Project Life album. Overall, it has been so nice and happy to get some creating done. It helps with my stress level so much!
What can you do every day this month to help your stress level go down? Please share below.
I have made a point to spend more time this year creating. And more time SHARING what I do… That’s where the blog comes in, I guess. I already talked about Lightburst Media’s new Sci-Fi Adult Coloring book when it released this week, but I just wanted to show a few pictures within the coloring book. While I was provided a copy of the book for review, the opinions are my own.
While I love coloring books,
The Daily Marker challenge will propel me to color daily.
And FMS photo a day may also happen.
And, because my word is fierce, I am sharing most of these on Instagram.
I heard about this, and decided it was necessary to sign up for this. After all, coloring is one of those things that grounds me after a rough day at work. Are you doing this? Share your site in the comments below so I can visit and check out your coloring!
I have posted previously about the awesomeness of a Beautiful Mess. Apart from their cool website and blog, the design cool products and applications–their new app, A Color Story, was able to take a photo I loved and amp it up just a little bit.
The original photo (left) was taken in not very nice light conditions, and while the magical unicorn horn exists, it just looks like a trick of the light, perhaps a fold in the duvet cover.
I picked up a Clairefontaine notebook, it is softcover to my preferred hardcover moleskin with, but I am looking forward to trying it, if only for the paper I have heard amazing things about.
I got some jelly roll pens, not sure if for crafty endeavors or just for some fun, time will tell.
