E-Pantry: My Experience

While you know me as a book blogger, I am also a geeky life blogger. And, being that part of any life is cleaning, I wanted to talk to you today about ePantry.
I was skeptical, at first, about what ePantry had to offer, as I am not one who traditionally thinks about the joys of cleaning and the like. In fact, as much as I love the way I feel and the house feels after a cleaning, getting to that point can be utter madness. Not to mention how many products you have to buy in order to get everything all sorted out. Enter ePantry.
ePantry admits that the basics of their business is due to simplicity, and they echo that throughout the site. You get a few questions to answer when you sign up for an account, and products you may be interested in are shown to you. Because there is no middle-man (like Target, whom I do adore), you save money. You also save a little bit of the rainforest with your order–25 square feet to be exact!
I set up an account through an affiliate link (to save money on my side, and to get an online friend a little extra something, too) and ordered a ton of Method products within minutes. They were delivered within days and I was cleaning. And ePantry was great about emailing me to give me help every step of the way.
Pictured above is the contents of our third box. While we don’t get everything through ePantry, we have established what works for our situation (2 working adults and 2 furry kitties)–I got a few new Mrs. Meyers products and some really great sea sponges that have really made cleaning a breeze. I cannot recommend the multi-surface cleaner enough! We also got a candle sample (blood orange) and a pack of free baby wipes (which I love because I have an inky, crafty life!). The hand santizer was something they emailed me about as a special offer just before the box shipped, and it is just as nice-smelling as the candle.
It is in our daily routine now to wipe down the counters (not just me) and keep spaces around the house clean, and I credit it to ePantry. We’re also saving money because the box comes to us, with all the things we would have bought at the store (but without me finding things we don’t really need), and at a bit of a discount. In fact, I did the math on this last box and I saved about $15 from what I was able to source locally. And, I didn’t even have to leave the house.
Scheduling is super easy, as well. I set the frequency as to when ePantry will deliver, and they send me a couple of messages throughout the month–just asking how I like things, sending me special offers ($3 off that yummy hand sanitizer that cleans, but not at the expense of my Jamberry manicure–we won’t even talk about how our cats hate the smell of normal hand sanitizer) or letting me know about their VIP program. VIP is a program you buy into, for just under $40 a year, but you also receive quarterly free gfts, valued at $20 and super-responsive support. VIP members also never pay for shipping! While we don’t have it now, I might consider it in the future.
If you want to try it out, check out my affiliate link for ePantry. You will get $10 off of your first delivery, and I get $10 off a future delivery.

Shopping online focuses your mind, it means no impulse buys and saves you a lot of money. for those on a budget this is important. We always make a list – write it down the old fashioned way. Great way to save

Hand sanitiser? Oh boy does our cat family hate that stuff!!!

I don’t get out of the house through the week sometimes so our errands and shopping trip is actually fun for me. I don’t think I would want to give up physically shopping for items. To save time when I try to mark our shopping list with which items need to be purchased at each store.

ePantry sounds great and I’m all for saving money and having the flat smell nice! I’m kind of a clean freak so I adore the task. I think my biggest time saver is that my flat is no bigger than most people’s kitchens 🙂

ePantry sounds like a wonderful way to shop for environmentally-friendly cleaning products; I wish they also had a base here in the UK, as I’d definitely use them! I also love the idea you get a little bit of rainforest (and some freebies) with your home orders. A total win-win, from what you’ve shared. Enjoy!!

I’m all about saving money on EVERYTHING and I really like some of these types of subscriptions. I’ve done subscriptions with diapers and kids boxes before and currently do essential oils. Never heard of e-pantry before so its a new thing to me. Is the shipping reasonable?

Thank you for sharing ePantry I did not know about their services, and it seems great for when you are in a crunch and you may need some household items. I am with Blogging for books too! You will never find me without a book in my hand or in one of my tote bags!

This is a pretty interesting company and one I’ll have to look into. I’m so super lazy and hate going to the store to buy anything. Most times if I can’t buy it from my phone, I really didn’t need it anyway. Ha ha. Thanks for sharing this.

I have been wondering about ePantry and how well people like it, so this was an extremely helpful post. I’m not buying much in the way of cleaning products while we are moving about once a month, but once we settle down, I definitely want to give it a try. Thanks for the great post!

Never heard of epantry before. Is it all natural cleaning supplies? I like the idea of never running out of cleaning supplies and having to run to the store every time!

I have tried having a cleaning schedule but that didn’t work very well. So I just have started cleaning certain rooms when I notice they are getting dirty. I know this won’t work for everyone, but it works for me right now! #Blogelina

I’ve been wondering how well ePantry works. I got fed up with Amazon subscribe and save and canceled all of my products. Sometimes I regret it so I’ll have to check this out.

This makes me curious about the shipping costs for ePantry. Usually when I find discounts online on things, I end up not saving anything because of the shipping costs.

I have heard to epantry before but I usually just use a few solutions, and find my sources locally to be fairly affordable. I will have to check this out though to see if their prices are better!

I’ve not heard of epantry yet. Thank you for the great review. It sounds like you got some great deals on your cleaning products, and some cool freebies too. I always love baby wipes, and that candle sounds like it smells great.

I have been receiving emails from Epantry for a while now. I thought that I would be able to get much better deals locally, so I never opened the emails. I will be looking into it now. If I choose to place an order I will go through your affiliate link.

I have been wanting to try this because I live in Alaska and shopping is difficult here. But I’m wondering if shipping to Alaska would be expensive or even worth the savings in the end.
    must check this out!

I am so glad I read your post! I love online shopping and avoid the big-box stores at all costs. I am going to give epantry a try. Save money, Mrs. Myers(one of my favorite Basil soap is to die for) and online shopping this could be trouble:) #commentathon

I have not heard of ePantry before. I do, however love Method Products. I like counter sprays for cleaning and the hand soap. They smell really good and don’t have the harsh chemical smells like Clorox Clean-Up spray.

If I could do all of my shopping from home, having packages delivered to my door step, I would! Heck, I’m already having the groceries delivered, and order most everything else via Amazon Prime. This is yet another amazing service that can save you time and money.!
