IT’S MONDAY, WHAT ARE YOU READING?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading

Last week was CRAZY-Busy, I’ve been stealing time to try and read. And while it hasn’t been so very awesome at times, I’m over the 100 book hump, so I just need to read about 95 more before the end of the year and all will be good. Well, and i have to update my Goodreads Challenge list (add reviews) and also post reviews on book sites, as well as ARC sites–it looks like I have my work cut out for me.

Without further ado, here’s what I’m reading this week–in a super special ebook edition…AlwaysReiding.com It's Monday, What are you reading?

IT’S MONDAY, WHAT ARE YOU READING? Breakdown of this Week’s picks

The Animators is an arc that I got from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. The name of the book and the cover drew me in initially, but the story is really wonderful. I cannot believe how sucked-in I am to the story. The cartoons are all references I understand and get–and I love the nod to Klasky-Csupo in the 90s. Woot! It’s coming out at the end of November this year, but I really want to sing its praises from all walls–and I’m not even FINISHED with it yet. This is one of those books that you don’t want to end.

Damaged is a book I heard about via Goodreads. Lisa Scottoline sent me a PERSONAL note via email (okay, she probably sent it to a lot of people, but I can dream, can’t I?). It’s a Rosato DiNunzio novel and I LOVE this law firm. Mary plays an advocate for a child and it has some literary implications. While it comes out on the 16th of this month, the publisher allowed me to read it in exchange for my honest review early… And it is equally hard to put down. I’ve been reading Lisa Scottoline’s novels since I discovered them in high school, and reading them is like talking to an old friend.

Gena/Finn was recommended to me by Amazon when I heard about Scarlett Epstein Hates it Here, and then I heard about its subject matter (fanfiction) and decided it was definitely something I needed to read. I picked it up, desperate for a new book, on Saturday and I’m about a 5th through it. I like it, but I am also savoring this one. I refused to wait for the book, electing the e-version (despite it being more money). I really like it so far.
