It’s Monday, What are You Reading?

It’s Monday, which means it is time again to hook up with the dedicated readers of the Book Date Blog and start talking about the kinds of things we’re all currently reading. While I haven’t read a lot lately, I FINISHED NaNoWriMo… Yay! But we’ve also been doing a few other things… For example, I finished up the third project for the Harry Potter Knitting Challenge I was doing at Ravelry.

My husband and I went to the traditional holiday party at his parent’s home. He wore a kilt and I wore a Christmas ballgown. I used a hoop skirt, and boy, was it awesome! I got all gussied up and felt pretty amazing. My press on nails died within a few minutes, but my eyelashes stayed on for the whole party, and beyond. We sang Christmas carols, had dessert and had a great time with (his side of) family and family friends. It was definitely a fun time! And, I really think I need to look into wearing more ballgown-type dresses.

I got this sword (of Themyscira) letter opener for finishing NaNoWriMo, it was bought at our local comic book shop on Small Business Saturday and it opens everything it encounters like its owner, WonderWoman. I pretend I can be her just a little bit.

This is the only real book I’ve been interested in lately, and it is SO much better than I thought it might be. I can see why so many people have been interested in it. My favorite part is guessing who is who in the mythology and then, once I finish it, I’m going to watch the series. I am so freaking excited it. It’s Monday, What are you Reading?
