My Purple Pilot Metropolitan Fountain Pen

Pilot_2015_AlwaysReidingI MAY have treated myself to an early Christmas present–can’t have those callouses from my Lamy Safari any longer.

And what they say IS true–the second is just as cheap as the first. And better in the long run.

Maybe they say that about cats or maybe they say that about kids, but I’m saying it about a fountain pen. And this Pilot Metropolitan is LOVELY. The whole line is nice, but this purple stood out to me, because of the barrel design. It has a pump converter (I like my Lamy screw-type converter best), and is using up a sample of ink I bought called Noodler’s La Reine Mauve. It’s a lovely purple as well.

If you need a pen like me, I recommend Jetpens, if only because I have been ordering from them since 2009 and of the one problem I did have (not them, it was a manufacturing issue), they were 100% amazing with their service (Not sponsored, but if Jetpens wants to, I am open!)

    Hello! lovely article 🙂
I got a pilot metropolitan for christmas, and it really is a lovely writer, the ony con I found: It skips quite regularly, do you have this problem too?
    Thank you!

Thank you for visiting. I haven’t had the skip with either noodler’s or diamine inks.
I would suggest a thorough cleaning, even cleaning the nib.
