Review:: The Rules of Attraction by Bret Easton Ellis

The story of a love triangle, but so much more, Bret Easton Ellis’ The Rules of Attraction takes readers into the world of an east coast university where students seem to do everything but focus on their studies.

Jumping from behind closed dorm room doors and frat houses, to gatherings at shopping centers and parties.

Rules of Attraction reminds readers of impossible adult relationships between inexperienced teens and the consequences of random hookups.

To be honest, I kept getting confused about which characters where whom or which characters were doing what. Ellis’ style is less refined in this novel, but a character from one of his prominent other novels made me excited to read about. I wanted to like this book, but couldn’t.
