Take Care of YOU with Maven

Life is stressful, and I think modern life can make it that way. We multitask and commit ourselves to over-committing and then at the end of the day we fall into sleep, for less time than we really need, only to wake up and do it all over again. It’s a cycle that can require copious amounts of self-care. Due to the changing face of insurance and healthcare right now, it’s more important than ever to find a solution that fits within your needs, and your budget–enter Maven Health.

It’s healthcare by Women, for Women. There are a variety of services and knowledge available on a LOT of topics–from physical health to emotional health. I tried it at the end of last year–and it was awesome! I was skeptical at first, because I’ve never really spoken with a therapist as an adult and I wasn’t sure how to bring up the subject or if we would mesh, but Maven made it easy.

On the website (or on the app), you get to read about each of the specializations a practitioner has, and what their availability is. You can schedule via that information to determine what works for YOU.  While the service is not yet covered by insurance companies, the prices are VERY reasonable–$25 and under for most sessions! I have good news about that for my readers at the end of my post.

I was able to talk to someone about managing stressful work situations and figuring out solutions to help me ease from a work to a home environment. While they ask for a name and a callback number in case you get disconnected, the service is discreet and suited to fit within a variety of situations. If your computer doesn’t have a webcam, chances are your phone or tablet does and you can use that device with the app. It takes just a second or two to connect during your appointment time (they even send you reminders) and get you on track for taking your health into your hands.

The CEO of Maven, Katherine Ryder, has even written an article for Forbes about the changing face of healthcare in 2017. Sorry, in order to use Forbes, you have to turn off your ad-blocker, which is annoying. But the article is well thought out, and made me turn off ad-blocker (which is relatively unheard of).

I cannot over stress the relief I had when I started using Maven. It fits within my crazy time constraints, is available on the go and is easy to use. That’s why, when they asked me to, I joined the Maven Ambassador program (basically a street team) that talks about all of the amazing features of Maven. And that’s where you come in.

If you are interested in joining for free and getting a free $25 credit (most sessions are $25 and under!) when you sign up, go to MavenClinic.com and use my referral code NicoleReidVIP to get your exclusive $25 credit and try the service for free!

What do you think? Have you tried the service? Will you try the service with my referral code? Are you ready, in 2017, to put YOUR health in YOUR hands with Maven?

I LOVE this! It is so important to take care of your own physical and mental health. $25 is honestly less than most pay for their co-pay. Thanks for sharing!

It’s so great the way technology is bringing services like this to people. My copay is usually about $25 so that’s not a bad price point. Thanks for posting this. I’m sure it will help someone out there!

I’ve never heard of this before but it really sounds interesting! It’s so smart that the appointment takes place over the phone/webcam because often we neglect our own medical needs because of busy schedules!

I’ve never heard of Maven. Is it more like speaking with a therapist or do they offer other health advice as well? It definitely sounds more affordable than going to a doctor.

You can speak with a therapist, doctor or nurse practitioner, it also depends on whom is available and licensed by your state. The boards on the site are also pretty thorough. Thank you for stopping by!

Maven is new to me. I am interested in any thing that discusses women issues with people who are knowledgeable in that area. Thanks for the info.

This sounds like a great service and something that has been beneficial to you. Sometimes we just need to talk about what is happening within our lives with someone who is removed from the situation.
