How do you store your books? On bookcases? In piles? In piles on bookcases? Are they sorted? Do you know where everything is? What’s the most creative storage you’ve seen or used for your books?

I would love to say we have completely enough bookshelves for our books, but we don’t. Most of our books are on shelves, and while I could tell you where 95% of my books are at any given time, my husband is not so lucky. 

His paperbacks are shelved two deep. And my books, there are some piles errantly stacked around the house–mostly in a corner of the bedroom that isn’t too spacious. I want to work to get bigger piles for bookcrossing, donation and more.

I actually changed up the way I handle my bookshelves (alphabetical and dewey decimal, for non-fiction order)–now they have different shelves for different things (still weird alphabetical order, though)!
