Thursday, and it feels like it should already be Saturday. Today was rough, but I just took the setbacks at work in stride and did my best.
Like the coworker who got lauded for doing such a great job. However, said coworker ‘helped’ a caller today and basically did nothing. In fact, the caller stated as much when they got me on the line an hour later—the coworker said ’there is nothing I can do’.

Last night’s dinner was a success. So yummy and we had an anniversary and another birthday at our table. We got there a bit early, ran to the bank and went back in time for happy hour.

Wow! What a great week so far. I did get locked out of the house briefly today (with the UPS guy when the door code didn’t unlock, and my hair was in a towel). But I got an order I was eagerly anticipating, got to spend some time with my in-laws (and a yummy dinner and catch up with them) and got to spend some quality time with my husband at a bookstore…
Oh wow! We actually got home this morning, just before two AM. That five hour drive was crazy, especially considering we were seeing lightning in the dark off in the distance. The desert lightning felt off-the-wall and otherworldly, if that is the right world–it is PITCH BLACK out there, ya’ll!
I don’t have a picture of it, either. Sadly. However, with that, there was a lot of rain and POURING rain,
