I was cleaning my laptop recently and noticed that there was a slight rip in my old keyboard cover (the one that matched my computer clamshell cover).
They are pretty cheap, and made of silicone, so lasting for about two years is surprising with as much as I use my computer (my laptop is my main computer). So I made the decision to get a functional one—one that contains all the shortcuts! It is SO much nicer to type with this.
It’s that time of the year again. It’s CHRISTMAS. Which always feels like there is something special in the air, and there’s a spirit of community that warms all of our hearts. This is also the time of year when Terri Steffes (of the blog Christmas Tree Lane) hosts a parade of trees within blogger’s homes. It IS the most wonderful time of the year, for sure.
Valentine’s Day has always been special in my family. Great Aunt Jan always made the day special for me, despite not getting a Valentine of my own until college. It usually meant a card, some candy or a special treat and usually a book I really REALLY wanted (or sometimes a movie). I enjoyed shopping for Valentine’s Day cards in school, and the class art project of making a valentine box and carefully adding a card for each person,
I have posted previously about the awesomeness of a Beautiful Mess. Apart from their cool website and blog, the design cool products and applications–their new app, A Color Story, was able to take a photo I loved and amp it up just a little bit.
The original photo (left) was taken in not very nice light conditions, and while the magical unicorn horn exists, it just looks like a trick of the light, perhaps a fold in the duvet cover.
