How do you keep your books?

Here are two of my favorite ideas for book-keeping:

I love the idea of reading your book case. To be completely done with EVERYTHING on the bookshelf. I have had bookshelves that I could say this about, but nothing currently. A big step this year will be to clear up the unreads and put in some new books! Maybe even BOOKCROSS those I read!

And the floor to ceiling bookshelves with a ladder—this has been my dream for as long as I can remember. While the dark ones are lovely, I like the idea of something lighter, and using natural light. I have been spending a lot of time getting the house cleaned up and uncluttered (funny enough, this does not include the closet—wonder where everything is going, LOL.

Anyway, the point is, I have noticed two things about our combined style. It is both geeky and natural. There are a few pieces that are bright, but mostly very muted. And I am okay with that.
