It’s Monday, What are You Reading?

gothamgirl

It’s Monday, January 5, 2015. Happy New Year! This also means it is the first ‘It’s Monday, What are you Reading’ of the year. Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, Monday is a great day to take stock of what you’re currently reading.

I like it because it holds me accountable. And, because I succeeded at the 120 books read in 2014 (via Goodreads), I agreed to read 200 in 2015—I’ve done it before, and for many years read at least that many, but life has come in the way. But, beyond that, I want to publish more reviews this year. I have so many that I’ve written that have not been transcribed. This is a huge oversight and does nothing to help my cause. I need entries to make everyone interested! This is a predominantly a review blog and without those reviews, I have nothing to offer. So, provided I read an average of 15-20 books a month, I can do this! And, I would love to hear your thoughts.

So, without further ado, here is what I have been up to:

Last Week:
Night of the Living Trekkies
The Unauthorized Story of Walt Disney’s Haunted Mansion
Shirley I Jest : A Storied Life
Party Games
Down from the Mountain (Review published on January 6th)
Alex as Well (Review published on January 7th)

Currently Reading:
The Fringe Hours (by Jessica Turner). I’m part of this street team, so I am really looking forward to what this can do for me.

The Happiness Project (by Gretchen Rubin). I need to read this boon in 2015. Probably a monthly thing, but still, totally worth it.

Emma (by Jane Austen). I have never read this book, while loving Clueless, and #novelteabookclub is reading it this month—I am there!

Batman and Son. I almost picked this up in paper form, but remembered I had it electronically, so yeah. I’m reading this, w00t!

I enjoyed The Happiness Project, although really its more than a read as you think about whether you want to take on her suggestions. I enjoy her blog.

I love Jane Austen – so hope you enjoy Emma!

PS. Your link on Sheila’s page didn’t work for me… (just a heads up).

I love what you’ve done with your blog. I encourage you to read and review more books on your blog 🙂 That\’s great! Do you like reading graphic novels? I bought Guardians of the Galaxy for Christmas . It was the most expensive book/comic I’ve ever bought! lol

I hope to publish more reviews this year on my blog. I tend to wait and clump a whole bunch of reviews at the same time. Happy New Year!
