It's Monday! What Are You Reading

It’s Monday, which means it is time again to hook up with the dedicated readers of the Book Date Blog and start talking about the kinds of things we’re all currently reading.

I have been in library and donation mode, so a lot of what I have been reading relates to that. I sent 19 YA and geeky books to the Rubber City Book Posse in anticipation of a release they are doing in conjunction with Geek Watch One. I have about 20 more books to send, and so I’ve been trying to read them and get them ready to leave asap.

I’m working my way through this, thanks to the library (and the friend who recommended it):
Hooked_GeekyGirlRomComMy main issue right now is that I’ve been sick since Saturday night. Mostly a lot of extreme close ups into the eyes of a certain bathroom fixure. And because of that, my voice is dead and my head is aching. I finally stopped throwing up (sorry if tmi) around 5 pm last night–almost 24 hours after the original episode. I am no longer in much pain, except for my head. And saltine crackers are my staple diet, along with pedialyte. I tried some plain chicken broth last night, but it made me feel a bit icky–I think it might have been the richness of the broth.

I feel terribly, but am still much better than I was. I really hope my headache goes away. That would make me feel 10,000 times better. Because then I could read. I haven’t been able to really keep up reading since this happened (that’s how I know I’m really sick).

So sorry to hear about he food poisoning, a truly horrible experience, do hope you will be on the mend soon with some time to recuperate. No wonder you had a headache.
