Cover Blurb: Jessica Fletcher is in a Florida retirement community for the funeral of a dear old friend whose heart gave out-only to discover that the woman’s death from natural causes may have been artificially induced.

With the help of a feisty group of young-in-spirit retirees, Jessica must track down the clues and find out who prescribed the fatal treatment…

I’ve made no secret that I am a fan of the Murder, She Wrote series. In fact, if you go back far enough on my Goodreads history you might see that it’s taken me the better part of years to read these. However, thanks to my local library, I’m trying to get them all finished.

There are 51 books in the series, and I’ve read all but 8 of them. They are fun, and not really meant to tax you incredibly. What IS fun, is figuring out the motive and the method and the person responsible before Jessica does. Now, in reading, it’s a bit easier than on the show, as Jessica is the narrator. I’ve found the books by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bain to be pretty challenging at times, but also very close to the show.

In Dying to Retire, Jessica goes down to Florida to attend an ex-Cabot Cove-r’s funeral. She brings Seth Hazlett as well as Mort and Maureen Metzger. But something is going on in the retirement village the group is staying at, and it’s NOT good. It’ll take the minds of all of these Cabot Cover residents to figure out the motive, the crime, and the suspect.
