Review:: Troublemaker Book One: Alex Barnaby Series 3 by Janet and Alex Evanovich

Troublemaker Book One: Alex Barnaby series 3 is a graphic novel by Alex and Janet Evanovick based on the popular series featuring Alex Barnaby. A Nascar mechanic on driver Sam Hooker’s crew, Alex is also something of an amateur detective. The books in the series, in print for are Metro Girl and Motor Mouth.

Alex is enlisted by a friend to help find a mutual friend. There’s talk of a kidnapping. The book also includes a voodoo ceremony and Alex meeting Sam’s mother.

The art of this book, by Joelle Jones, is cute and it’s got nice panels. I liked the format of this book overall, and I found myself more interested in this format rather than the print format. At just over 100 pages, it’s a quick read.

I’m a fan of Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, but the format of these books is really cool and has me excited to read the next one!

I got this book from the library.
