Scotsman’s Ball

My husband and I have attended a Scottish formal event since shortly after we met at the end of 2011. It means we both get to wear something special. And tonight, I got to wear something really special in honor of my fourth formal in a row.
 

His kilt is special because it was made by hand (by my MIL) using a timeless process (secret!!!) from Scotland. It also has Star Wars fabric underneath!
 The last three dances, I wore purple. This year I decided to be a little matchy and I picked up a TARDIS dress (available online and in select stores from Hot Topic and Torrid). I also got a Fascinator. It has lots of feathers.
 

We got to see some awesome stuff, bagpipes, haggis and country dancing.

It was a lot of fun, and I am happy I was able to give a nod to the most recent Scottish Doctor, David Tennant.
