What I’m Reading
It’s Tuesday, but it feels like a Monday because we had that awesome 3 day weekend.
I want more weekends/weeks like that, I think.
Anyway, it’s time to talk about what I am reading on this glorious day… Here’s a sample of what I’m reading.
The Love of the Last Tycoon is an authorized text of part of the short story I read a log time ago–it started as a serial and F Scott Fitzgerald passed away before he could finish it. Miss Peregine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a book with which I have a complicated history. I bought it a few years ago for my Nook, but never started it–the format was just too weird. And my family has a creepy old photo album where I figured some of the pictures might be of things as haunted as the ones in these pictures. But I picked up the book for an LEP Reading Challenge and I am nearly halfway complete after just a couple of hours. The story is a bit weird, and I am not sure if I consider this a YA personally, but overall I cannot wait to finish it and then mark as COMPLETE!!!
Up the Down Staircase is a classic, and it is in epistolary form, meaning it also counts against one of the challenges for the LEP Reading Challenge. So I am all sorts of excited about that. I may be able to knock out two from the challenge this week, and that makes me incredibly happy.
It’s Tuesday, what are you reading?
