Christmas Trees on Parade 2020

Hello!
As you may or may not know, there are a few things I tend to do annually here on the blog.
Christmas trees on Parade is one of them.

Our awesome hostess, from Christmas Tree Lane, does a great job of wrangling us up. This year is no exception.
I decided to do things a bit differently, as 2020 has been a very ‘different’ type of year.

We’re not doing a typical Christmas tree–so I decided to combine the books that have meant things to me this year into a book tree.

I decided to do things a bit differently, as 2020 has been a very ‘different’ type of year.

We’re not doing a typical Christmas tree–so I decided to combine the books that have meant things to me this year into a book tree.
I looked at the whole gamut of them online. There are tiny ones, huge ones, ones that fit in corners and one that looked like charlie brown’s book tree.
Basically, if you read, and want a physical manifestation of important books, this is for you.
You stack the books, biggest on the bottom.
Some have a box or two around them and stack like lincoln logs, others just angle.
This year, it’s kind of a thing that I even stuck the titles out. But again, 2020.

Thoughts about my selections?
Someone needs to tell the owner of these books to quit making “Game of Thrones” a thing. Tell her it’s over, and the tv show ended and she’s the only one mostly happy with how things ended.
Someone also needs to get this owner to read the Bridgerton paperback at the top in anticipation of the Netflix series.

Also, for someone with so many autographed books, her Waterstones special edition game is severely

And I have cats. They’re so used to books that they took one look at the thing and walked away because they were bored.

I love my cats. And I love that this is a tree they don’t mess with.

Oh, and the best part? Pop up one of those awesome bookends I know you have.
Mine’s a unicorn. Because I’m awesome.

And I’m also giving away a Pete the Cat ornament that looks like one of my cats. Well, apart from the white here and there.
Be sure to follow me on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/alwaysreiding/) and post back here that you did. Giveaway ends just after midnight on Friday morning.
Please note, I will announce the winner and give you 24 hours to confirm you won (if you don’t get in touch with me via this site or IG, you may forfeit the prize). Standard disclaimers apply.

What books would be on your tree for 2020?
Have you met your reading goals, or are you just over the idea of reading? What alternative trees are you interested in making (note: charcuterie boards and trays COULD probably count, provided vertical support from a lot of toothpicks).

Be sure to share your Christmas tree below.
