Review:: Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea by Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler is known for her quick, sarcastic wit–and fans of her work (as well as those new to the ‘Chelsea’ phenomenon) will enjoy Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea just as much as they enjoy her stand up comedy routines and her nightly E! Network show, Chelsea Lately.

From the family house in the Hamptons to a tropical island getaway–even to the West Coast (which she’s adopted as a home base, of sorts), Are You There, Vodka? spares no detail.

Relating her brief stint in prison (which, to most everyone else would be jail) to her nights of stand up comedy and her explanation of her drink of choice (vodka, with lemon), Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea is a cute, and nearly poignant look at life from Chelsea Handler’s hilarious and hyperbole-filled point-of-view.

Picked this up at my local library, there were a few issues actually snagging a copy of it, but I still am happy the library was able to accomodate my request.
