Top 5 books of the year

I have read so many great books this year, and a few are not making this list because while I love them, I love others, too.
So, find my top 5 books of the year here:

Where did you go, Bernadette? I love epistolary novels, and Bernadette was weird enough to stick with me–I clearly see all the characters in my head and have no doubts about any of them, even those I don’t like.

Don’t even THINK about it Promising start to a cool concept, mingling a hot button issue with the craziness of YA literature–it was totally all I wanted it to be, and then some.

One Man Guy Sometimes you just get it right, and this novel is one of my favorite coming of age stories that I have read in a long time. The characters are so clear, have depth and are so cool without even realizing it.

Hidden I did not think that I was going to like this, as it was an Amazon freebie (through the first program)–however, I soon realized that you cannot judge a book by it’s price and it was 100% worth the $5 or $10 it may have been listed at in stores.

Cinder YES! I cannot believe it took me so long, but once I really got into the book, I lived in the book. Manic reading session=1 and deftly picked up the second in the series to jump into it after I finished Cinder.

So far, it looks like a lot of YA. And, I guess that’s been the course of this year. But, luckily, I think there are a few other books that I hope to read that will pull me out of just that one category.

What are your top 5 books so far this year?
